From tired to transformed!
This project involved a very interesting A-Frame style built in the 1990s on a lifestyle section in Matatoki near Thames.
The timber had not been painted or treated for a good many years and was very thirsty. It absorbed a huge volume of undercoat before the surfaces were in a suitable condition to apply the topcoats.
The "Swiss Chalet" style roof with it's sharp angles and high gables made it a little trickier than most to access.
We opted for a three platform scaffold on the gables and cantilevered platforms for the side dormers in the end and this worked very well.
The entire house was treated for mould and given a thorough 'softwash' and a good rinse and then allowed plenty of time to dry.
It took ten attempts with ten test pots before the owners and ourselves finally agreed that Resene's 'Perfect Taupe' was the perfect match for 'New Denim Blue'. There were still some doubters on our team but once the project was complete it became clear that the choice had been a good one.

Several large outbuildings and sleep-outs were also given the same treatment and colour scheme which helped to tie the whole property together.
Another happy customer.
