Bye mould. Hello bold, new blue cottage
This unique little cottage is pretty much the very definition of ‘quirky’ which, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, is “unusual in an attractive and interesting way”.
It is nestled in a little hidden glen - an offshoot of Kauaeranga Valley - and, as you can well imagine, was a gem of a place for the team to work.
As you can see the exterior wasn’t all that ‘attractive’ before we started and we had to apply some very liberal doses of mould killer before we did anything else.
The setting and style of the building lent itself to the application of some bold colour and picking out the corner trim and soffits with a strong reflective white helps to frame and define the house and provide a counterbalance to the deep blue.
