Rising to new heights

Writer: Graham WillersGraham Willers

A unique and challenging job!

This project was quite challenging given the height of the building and its unusual design.

The property is, quite literally, unique. It's a one-off architect-designed structure with

multiple large windows and terraced balconies which aim to make the most of the spectacular views over the Firth from its aspect high above Thornton Bay.

The scaffolding was an impressive and quite technical affair as we also re-painted the roof so, from the steeply sloping garden to the top of the ‘edge-protection’ around the upper perimeter, must have been close to 20 metres. Certainly felt like it anyway!

Kudos to STM scaffolding of Kopu for their skilled work.

We think that the striking colour scheme highlights the main features of the property and accentuates the unique design.

And this was the icing on top of being lucky with some beautiful sunny weather which made for a great working environment. What more could we ask for?

Our clients were also very pleased with the team’s efforts and gave us the lovely reference below...

Project testimonial

“...We were very happy to have had Graham Willers and his “Thames House Painting” team paint our Thames Coast beach house. From the first interviews, through the quoting process and advice to the final paint job it all went very smoothly. A very professional operation and we are delighted with the result...” * * * * *
